The legacy of the law firm continues with Michael’s only child Sara, who followed in his footsteps and went to law school as well. Sara first got her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina. Sara then attended and graduated from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia; where she became barred in Georgia in 2018. She then went on to get her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida. Initially, Sara got her start working in Atlanta, Georgia where she worked with an accounting firm in the Mergers & Acquisitions division. Her primary focus was assisting private equity firms analyze the tax risks associated with the purchase of different companies around the country and world. She also prepared state and federal taxes for corporations during busier tax seasons.

Taking a similar path as her father she wanted to have a more hands-on experience with people and assist people who wanted guidance in navigating the tax code. She also wanted to help people in their time of need facing overwhelming tax burdens that they do not know how to mitigate or manage.

Attorney Witherspoon now continues to build on the legacy her father started and expand it in the world of tax. Attorney Witherspoon’s Tax Suite prepares taxes, provides consulting reports for individuals and businesses and defends her clients before the IRS. Particularly, in regards to tax preparation, Attorney Witherspoon has taken the unique approach in not only preparing individuals and businesses taxes, but also providing a personalized tax review that includes insightful knowledge about the individual tax payers everyday decisions that have an impact on their tax liability. This tax review gives people the path the know how to manage their interests in the way that best serves them. Ultimately now the Father and Daughter pair are in business together and looking to build and grow the successful business that Michael started.
