Michael Witherspoon began his career working as an insurance adjuster in Maryland and soon after moved to South Carolina. As he gained more responsibility and leadership working in insurance Michael knew that the expertise he gained could be used in a more impactful way in the legal profession. Michael determined to make a difference on his own terms went to law school with the mission to assist people in their time of need. After leaving law school Michael Witherspoon briefly worked at a local law firm in the area before he started his own practice. His practice started from humble beginnings. Initially creating an office at his home, Michael soon opened his first office in Columbia, SC. Two offices later the home office of the Law Office of Michael Witherspoon is located in Columbia SC.
